What We Believe:

Christian Schools Inc., which operates the John Curtis Christian School, is an independent educational foundation incorporated not for the profit under the laws of the State of Louisiana. The school is administered by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees, completely free from denomination or political control.

The John Curtis Christian School is a co-educational, nonsectarian private school. Boys and Girls of all religious faiths are welcome to study at the school. The John Curtis Christian School is not connected with nor supported by any church or denomination.

The John Curtis Christian School will provide an open culture for students of faiths to study. Our purpose is to strengthen and to undergrid the moral and spiritual values of the culture provided by the home and the church. We believe that the home and the church are responsible for all forms of sectarian education and they must educate in beliefs, dogmas, and practice which characterize their church.

The John Curtis Christian School will engage in the following: teach that belief in God is inherent in the American ideal and culture and that our school pre-supposes a Supreme Being; encourage respect and tolerance for all religious conceptions; create and maintain an atmosphere friendly to spiritual and moral truth, thus strengthening and re-enforcing the home and the church in their efforts to provide religious education; and teach the moral and spiritual values of the American culture.

We will teach the following moral and spiritual values: dignity and sacredness of human personality; belief that spiritual values are superior to the material values; individual responsibility for behavior and for the consequences of individual decisions within society; and devotion to truth and honesty.

We will also teach respect for excellence in character and intellectual achievement.

The John Curtis Christian School will strive for a commitment to Christ and His teachings as way of life. We welcome boys and girls of all faiths to pursue their education in the John Curtis Christian School.
